Trentham Estate forced to make 'partial closure' as weather warnings in place

Bosses at the Trentham Estate have announced a 'partial closure' affecting parts of the attraction as the area is hit by heavy rain and strong winds. Storm Bert has swept into North Staffordshire and has forced staff at the tourist hotspot to close off certain areas.

Yesterday a post on the Trentham Estate Facebook page said that due to the forecasted high winds, coupled with the yellow warning for rain and snow, a 'partial closure' would be in place on Saturday. It has also resulted in a planned parkrun being cancelled.

As it stands the current areas have been shut:

  • 'Wider estate';

  • Lakeside Walk;

  • East and west pleasure grounds;

  • Adventure playground;

  • Lakeside south entrance and Lakeside Café;

  • Trentham Gardens parkrun has been cancelled 'for everyone’s safety';

  • Saturday’s Makers Market has been cancelled.

Meanwhile the following areas are open:

  • Italian Garden

  • Access to Totally Delicious - Trentham Gardens and toilets

  • Trentham Shopping Village

  • Santa's Grotto
