Tribute to biker killed in A5 crash as family say 'so kind, so warm, so gentle, so funny'
The family of a biker killed in a crash which closed part of the A5 have paid tribute to him. Alex Dickenson's family said he was 'so kind, so warm, so gentle, so funny'.
The 28-year-old died after he was involved in crash which closed the A5 both directions between the B5440 near Marlborough Way and the A51 near Ventura Park. This impacted traffic from Atherstone and Nuneaton.
Staffordshire Police confirmed that he was travelling on a blue Yamaha motorbike at about 7.15pm on Wednesday (November 6) when he was involved in a collision with a white Mercedes car on the eastbound carriageway, between Ventura and Marlborough Way.

Damage was caused to both vehicles. Debris from the collision hit a white Vauxhall Adam, travelling westbound.
A white Scania HGV was then involved in a collision with the stationary Vauxhall and Dickenson. Sadly, he suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
In a tribute to him, Alex’s family said: “Our Alex, so kind, so warm, so gentle, so funny. He will be forever loved and missed.
“All our love."
Police have confirmed that the driver of the Vauxhall, a woman in her 50s, remains in hospital. She suffered serious injuries in the collision.
