I tried a £2 B&M 'sugar plum' air mist and now my home smells of Christmas
Christmas isn't just about festive food and drink, snowy trees and carols, it's also about the smells too. So I was keen to try the new 'winter' fragranced laundry and home scent range from B&M, especially as one sounded very Christmassy.
Febreze Air Mist Sugarplum Delight costs £3 from Ocado and £2.50 from Asda for 185ml but you can get it for just £1.99 from B&M so I thought I'd give it a go. Just the name alone makes me think of fairy from The Nutcracker ballet and you can't get much more festive than that.
Spraying my room, I found it was sweet and fruity, filling the room with a lovely winter freshness that was long lasting. Febreze Air Freshener is said to feature Odourclear technology to help fight odours rather than just mask them.

It's said to last for 60 sprays so if you sprayed it once a day, it could last for 60 days. But I tend to spray it two or three times instead so it won't last me so long.
I also tried a Febreze 3Volution Plug-In Starter Kit - in Frosted Peony & Dark Orchid. It's designed to continually alternate between three fragrances every 45 minutes so that you don't get 'noseblind' to one individual scent.
If you keep it on the low setting, it's set to last for 90 days but I found I couldn't smell it very strongly on this setting so I whacked it up to the max. It costs £5.49 for the full kit or £2.99 for the refills. The fragrance features peony blooms and dark orchids with woody jasmine and lily of the valley base notes.
I would never really have thought of peonies and orchids as being particularly wintery, other than the fact they are called 'frosted' in this instance. This is a nice fragrance but not as festive as the Sugarplum Delight.
It's the same for the Flash Spray in the same fragrance, which costs £2.49 for 800ml. That said, it did make my kitchen smell zingy fresh.
However, the Fairy Max Power Winter Bloom (£2.49 for 640ml) smells great and I love the anti-leak technology as you don't end up using so much, or getting the cap into a sticky mess. B&M also have candles that smell of freshly-baked gingerbread and cost just £1, which are fun.
