I tried £6 Primark product and it changed my daily routine
I've tried dozens of foundations over the years. I've gone from the high street brands such as Rimmel and Collection to high end retailers from Mac to Bobbi Brown, but nothing quite compares to this one.
It's not long been Christmas, which means my bank account has taken a hit and typically my foundation decided to run out. I'd recently been using the Estée Lauder double wear foundation but couldn't afford £40 for a new bottle this January, so I decided to look elsewhere.
I'd recently been hearing how Primark had upped its beauty range game and in need of some new beauty products, I decided to give its foundation a chance. The foundation was a bargain and cost £6 in Liverpool's Church Street Primark store.

Described by the retailer as an airbrush foundation with a full coverage and weightless, the foundation is infused with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E.
And in all honesty, it's pretty damn good. I wouldn't go as far to say it's the best foundation I've ever used but it's definitely a game changer for my makeup bag, bank account and a new staple of my daily 'getting ready' routine.
The foundation is a light coverage that doesn't feel sticky or claggy on your face. In fact, it hardly feels like you're wearing foundation at all and lasts pretty much a whole work day, which is pretty great for those out the house for eight or nine hours a day, like myself.
I think my only downfall is the lack of colours. I went for cool beige which is slightly too light and washes me out, however the darker shade gave me that horrific tidal mark around my face, that nobody wants. Maybe in the summer when I'm looking a bit more tanned the foundation will be a better fit for me.
It's changed my makeup game and will absolutely be making it my go-to affordable foundation for the foreseeable. Primark has well and truly upped its makeup game and I'm so thankful. You heard it here first, I won't be splurging out on those expensive brands in future.
The retailer has also recently launched a new £3 moisturising lip buff that's causing a stir among beauty enthusiasts, with some comparing it to REFY and I can't wait to try it.
The brand's beloved lip buff, priced at £16, is a favourite among beauty experts and one of the store's top-selling items. According to the product description, the "world-first lip serum and plumper" hydrates and soothes.
REFY explains that the unique applicator and formula "exfoliate your lips, leaving a smooth finish and a naturally fuller look." The applicator is designed to buff away dead skin cells, and the serum maintains smoothness and hydration with a vegan-friendly formula containing a natural plumping plant-based agent, aloe vera extract, and amino acids.
