It's officially the time of year to start panicking about what to buy loved ones for Christmas. It can be a real challenge to find a gift for someone that you know is going to be useful, and not end up collecting dust.
There's nothing like a good pamper, and Liz Earle is known for its array of luxurious beauty products from skincare to candles. I've personally been a fan of Liz Earle for years, and swear by its products to feel revitalised and fresh.

With that being said, we decided to try out a his and hers gift set for haircare and skincare. Our reporter Paul McAuley tried out the Natural Shine Haircare Trio which is priced at £36 and promises a 'botanical shine'. I tried out the 'Glow Essentials' skincare set and was left very impressed - here's what we thought.

Originally priced at £80, this gorgeous skincare set has been reduced to £42 as part of the Liz Earle Black Friday sale. Recently, I've been really lazy when it comes to skincare, so I was excited to try out this set.

I'm always wanting a glowy look with minimal effort, but I'm often quite dubious when it comes to skincare that promises a glow. The first thing I noticed about the gel cleanser was how soft it felt on my face, and it smelt absolutely amazing!
It melted like butter and was really pampering when combined with the hot cloth cleanser. The gel turned into an oil like consistency and added a very subtle glow to my face without being too much.
Tonic is another product I've been particularly lazy with in the past, but after using this product for a week my skin looks brighter and more nourished. Although it's not massively scented, it's still really refreshing.
When combined with the moisturiser, my skin looks prepped and ready for the day.. That's the one thing I've always loved about Liz Earle products, using them is like going to a spa minus the hefty price tag.

The trio gift set has become my go-to for a gentle and effective hair care routine. I am in the process of growing my hair out from a mid-life crisis-styled buzzcut to what I hope will become a young David Beckham-inspired curtains haircut.
With this in mind, I often don’t put gel or wax products in my hair day-to-day, especially when I am just heading to the office. The Liz Earle set has made my hair soft, smooth and shiny-looking, allowing my locks some time to breathe, without looking like I still have bedhead.
As expected, I have found the products work best together. The conditioner leaves a silky finish that allows me to position my hair as I wish without the need for other products. Although the conditioner says daily use, I prefer every-other-day.
The nourishing oil needs no more than a few drops, as I have found myself having to rewash my hair again at the risk of looking greasy.
