'I tried the little known car 'hack' and can't believe it worked'

People have been left baffled after a woman shares a little known car ‘hack’, which she’s convinced nobody knew. Shannon Mitchell from Belfast was left astounded after her boyfriend told her about the hack, which he believed to be common knowledge.

In a video uploaded to her TikTok, Shannon demonstrated the surprising hack. She captioned the post: "I feel like a own a transformer now."

Shannon said: “Please be honest with me if you knew this was a thing, because I only found out yesterday, and I’ve just tried it on my car and it’s just worked, and I am flipping shook. My boyfriend seems to think everyone knows this, but I didn’t, so I’m convinced there’s other people that don’t know.”

She proceeds to detail how she purposely leaves her car window open after turning off the engine and getting out. “So you get out of your car and you lock your car, you then realise, ‘oh, s**, I have left my windows down,’” she said.

Shannon explained that her boyfriend told her a hack which closes the windows without unlocking and restarting your car. By double clicking the lock button and then holding it down, the windows will automatically roll back up.

She continued: “Please tell me I’m not the only person that didn’t know about this. And when you see this, it gets better, you can actually put them down as well, just watch.”

This time Shannon held down the unlock button, where her windows proceeded to open. Shannon’s video has been viewed over 166,200 times, racking up 11,800 likes and 367 comments. Viewers shared their amazement over the hack in the replies, while others say they thought ‘everyone’ already knew about it.
