I tried the Yorkshire pudding wrap that's cheaper than at the Christmas Markets

In what seems to be an annual tradition for me, I headed down to the Christmas Markets in Liverpool yesterday (November 18) to take a look around. I really enjoyed my experience, which you can see more of here on our TikTok page, but the main event for me was what happened on the walk back to the office.

Next to John Lewis, I spotted a van that sold Yorkshire pudding wraps, just in time for Christmas. I'm no stranger to a Yorkshire pudding wrap - last year, I tried the one at the Christmas Markets, which was an absolute delight, but I was keen to try something different this year.

The van, named 'The Famous Yorkshire Pudding Wrap', has gotten some attention on TikTok since it arrived in Liverpool. The owners informed me that these wraps are £2 cheaper than the ones at the Christmas Markets - coming in at £10 per wrap. I went to check, and they are priced slightly lower than a wrap from the city's festive village, where a similar dish will set you back £12.

I appreciate £10 still sounds like a lot and, to be honest, it still is fairly expensive - but I gave the markets a go last year and I wanted to give this new vendor a shot, especially seeing as they have gained so much attention online.

I went for a Turkey filling, along with mash, carrots, green beans, cranberry sauce and gravy. What impressed me the most wasn't the wrap itself, but the fact that once it was assembled, the wrap was put in a toastie machine and pressed into shape, making the Yorkshire pudding nicely toasted on the outside.

The wrap itself was delicious - the toasting of the outside made it easier to eat as I was walking around, and the fact that it was cheaper than the Christmas Markets was a nice bonus. I really liked the mash in the wrap, as it brought all the ingredients together. I also liked the size of the wrap - it was a decent size for the £10 price point. I found it was filling, but not overly filling for me. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
