Trio 'armed with knives and a cricket bat chase man in street' - police appeal for information

Three people armed with knives and a cricket bat allegedly chased a man along a Leicestershire town street, police said today (Thursday, January 23). The incident is said to have happened in Granby Street, in the centre of Loughborough, around 2.30pm on Tuesday, November 26, last year.

Officers investigating the report have released CCTV images of three men they want to speak to in connection with the alleged incident. Charnwood police posted a social media appeal for help tracing the men.

The team wrote: "Two of the men were described as being armed with knives, while the third man was holding a cricket bat. The men left the scene before officers arrived. No injuries were reported to police.

"As part of our inquiries, officers would like to identify and speak to the three men pictured." Contact Leicestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 24*70453. Information can also be passed to officers via Crimestoppers, which is free and anonymous.
