A trio of Monklands roads are set for closure over the next few weeks.

Footway resurfacing on North Lanarkshire Council’s behalf will see Coatbridge’s Corsewall Street close for 10 days from December 4, from West Canal Street to Melrose Place/Dryburgh Place.

Diversions for drivers will be West Canal Street and Blairhill Street.

Dundrennan Drive in Airdrie will be shut all day on December 5 for an ironwork repair.

The closure will run between the speed table at property one and its junctions with Dalbeattie Braes and Lammermuir Way.

The latter two roads will be available as diversions, while “pedestrian access will be permitted where practical during the closure”.

Yettshole Road, Coatbridge, between Mollinsburn Road and Burnlip Road, will see a two-day closure from December 19.

This will be to allow for carriageway surface repairs and motorists can take Burnlip Road, Muirdyke Road, the B804 Coatbridge Road, Glenboig New Road and Mollinsburn Road as alternative routes.
