Triple-Murder Suspect Jed Allen: Body Found

Police have found a body they believe to be that of triple-murder suspect Jed Allen.

Detectives hunting the 21-year-old - after his young sister, mother and her partner were found stabbed to death at their Didcot home - say his body was discovered in a wooded area in Oxford.

Members of the victims' families have been informed.

Detective Superintendent Chris Ward, of Thames Valley Police, told a news conference: "Members of the public reported finding the body of a man in a wooded area in Oxford, in Marston Road.

"This is an area that had not been previously searched by police as a result of this investigation.

"No formal identification has taken place but I am satisfied that this is the body of Jed Allen, who I had previously named as a suspect in this investigation.

"The members of all of the victims' families have been informed, and they are being supported by specially trained officers.

"While the investigation into this matter will continue, I am not seeking anybody else in connection with the offence. I would like to offer my condolences to all of the families of the victims in this tragic case."

It comes after police released CCTV pictures of Allen at Oxford railway station's WHSmith store on Saturday - hours after he is thought to have killed his family members.

The bodies of Derin Jordon, aged six, Janet Jordon, 48, and her partner Philip Howard, 44, were discovered in the house in Vicarage Road, Didcot, on Saturday night.

Footage also emerged from Allen's Instagram account , while images showed him posing with three knives between his fingers, imitating comic book hero Wolverine.

In others he is pictured holding a large hunting knife and knuckleduster.

His Facebook profile also includes status updates such as "Fed up of being treated like dirt" and "Works turned sour already".
