Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Khloé Kardashian has received a public apology from her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, as he acknowledged that he has fathered a child with another woman.

Professional basketball player Tristan shared a note on his Instagram Stories that confirms that he recently had a baby with a woman named Maralee Nichols.

"Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols," he wrote. "I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.

"I sincerely apologise to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately."

Tristan then shared another post in which he directly apologised to Khloé, with whom he shares three-year-old daughter True, who he is believed to have split from in June 2021.

"Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you," he wrote. "You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.

"I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."

Khloé has so far not publicly acknowledged Tristan's posts.

Khloe and Tristan welcomed their daughter True in April 2018, while Tristan also has a five-year-old son named Prince with his ex, Jordan Craig.

Tristan previously faced cheating claims in 2019, when it was reported that he had kissed model Jordyn Woods – who was best friends with KUWTK's Kylie Jenner at the time – while in a relationship with Khloé.

While KUWTK came to an end in June 2021 after 20 seasons, the Kardashian-Jenner family aren't done with reality TV just yet, having just dropped a teaser for their new Disney+ show, The Kardashians.

The Kardashians will premiere on Disney+ in the UK and on Hulu in the US. Keeping Up with the Kardashians aired on E! in the US, and you can watch on E! UK and hayu in the UK.
