Tropical Depression Nicole brought heavy rainfall to the southeastern United States on Friday, November 11, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

The storm made landfall in Florida as a Category 1 hurricane on Thursday, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The NWS recorded 1.36 inches (34.5 mm) of rainfall in the Charleston area on Thursday, as Nicole caused a “dangerous storm surge.”
