Flash flooding and heavy rain battered parts of Jamaica on Tuesday, August 17, as Tropical Storm Grace spread westward across the region, according to the National Hurricane Center.

These videos filmed by Kibwe McGann, who said they were taken across different locations in Kingston, show stranded vehicles and floodwaters gushing across roads.

The center of Tropical Storm Grace was expected to near Jamaica’s northern coastline and enter the Cayman Islands on Tuesday evening, according to the Jamaican Meteorological Service Division.

The Met Service reported maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (about 50 mph) as Grace was expected to strengthen into a hurricane on Wednesday. Credit: Kibwe McGann via Storyful
