Trump Has Hair Tugged To Refute Toupee Claims

Donald Trump has invited an audience member to tug his hair during a rally to prove he is not wearing a wig.

"I don't wear a toupee. It's my hair. I swear," the Republican presidential frontrunner said.

He instructed a woman to come on stage and check his locks at the event attended by 1,800 people in Greenville, South Carolina.

The billionaire developer asked if the hairdo was the real thing and there was applause as she replied: "I do believe it is."

The Republican presidential frontrunner was irked by a New York Times story that mentioned how a Hispanic radio host has nicknamed Mr Trump "El hombre del peluquin", or "the man of the toupee".

It is not the first time Mr Trump has submitted to an inspection of his trademark comb-over, which has long been something of an enigma.

He also addressed reports that some Latinos have dubbed him "Hitler" for calling undocumented immigrants "rapists" and "drug dealers" .

"I'm not a fan of Hitler," Mr Trump said.
