Trump Poses for Selfie With Knesset Member Who Was Suspended Over Drug, Prostitution Allegations

On his arrival in Israel on May 22, US President Donald Trump shook hands and posed for a selfie with controversial Israeli lawmaker Oren Hazan, who in 2015 was suspended amid allegations, denied by him, relating to pimping and drug use.

Shaking hands with political figures and other dignitaries on his arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, Trump was asked for a selfie by Hazan. As Hazan fumbled with his phone, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu eventually tried to push away his arm.

Hazan subsequently posted the selfie to a number of his social media accounts. He had tagged Trump in a welcoming tweet before his arrival. Trump’s @RealDonaldTrump account is the only one followed by Hazan’s account.

As well as the 2015 allegations, Hazan has been linked to a number of other controversies, according to reports. Credit: Israeli Government Press Office via Storyful
