Trump Supporters Attempt World-Record Boat Parade in West Florida

Thousands of supporters of President Donald Trump aimed to set a new Guinness world record near Clearwater, Florida, on Saturday, August 15, for the largest ever boat parade.

Organizers said they needed more than 1,180 boats to break the old record, which was set in Malaysia in 2014. “This is gonna be the MOAB… Mother of all Boat Parades,” organizers wrote on their website.

This drone footage shows hundreds of boats, most with pro-Trump or US flags attached, moving south from Clearwater between Gulfview and Indian Shores.

While organizers said an “official boat count” would take place at the Welch Causeway Bridge in Madeira Beach, Fox 13 reported that there was no official count, so it was unclear if the record had been broken. Credit: Storyful
