People On Twitter Are Having A Field Day Over Trump Supporters Thinking Another Stimulus Check Is Coming
Ah, yes, remember stimulus checks?
In case you (somehow) forgot, Donald Trump sent out two stimulus checks during the pandemic to people with certain income qualifications.
Well, CBS News is reporting that people on TikTok and X are wondering if stimulus checks are coming under the Trump administration.
"We need help - stimulus checks to help Americans after so much tax dollars forfeited to other countries while we suffer," this person tweeted at Trump.
Another person said they needed another stimulus for electing him.
And this person simply responded with "Stimulus" to a Trump post.
Unfortunately, for those wondering, the article says economists say that with the current economy, steady GDP growth, low unemployment, and easing inflation, stimulus checks are unlikely. Congress must also pass stimulus checks and not the president himself.
CBS's post about it is going viral:
Some voters are hoping President-elect Donald Trump may send out another stimulus check. Experts say the likelihood of this is extremely slim. https://t.co/G6bW7wltLD

"Something that voters believe is that the government should print lots of money and give it out to people for free in order to fight inflation," this person said.

"Trump signing the stimulus checks was a brilliant move. Good example of how he has an intuitive understanding of how to appeal to a certain type of voter," another person pointed out.

And then there are a bunch of people talking about universal basic income.
Now bring up universal basic income to these people and watch them change their tune. https://t.co/tZCCVACAqT

Anyway, I'd love a stimulus, but unfortunately it looks like it's not gonna happen.
