Tonight was time for round two of nail-biting tension as we tuned in to watch Jodie Whittaker in Trust Me, the BBC drama following Cath Hardacre, a nurse who steals the identity of a friend to work as a senior A&E doctor.

Reactions to this week's episode fell into a few broad camps: people who couldn't deal with the tension, those who were loving Jodie Whittaker's acting – and others who just could NOT cope with how much lens flare was going on.

Throughout the episode, the anxiety levels over Cath's lies and her trying not to be found out was too much for many:

There was a lot of love for Jodie Whittaker's acting:

A scene in which Cath is told it's silly to believe she "isn't a real doctor" because she's a woman seemed all a bit close to home, considering Jodie Whittaker's upcoming role in Doctor Who:

The episode ended on her love interest Andy clocking on to the fact that Cath isn't who she says she is – setting up EVEN MORE TENSION next week:

While all that drama was bubbling away, some – make that "a lot of" – people really were just totally distracted by the amount of fancy on-screen lens flare that was going on:

Trust Me airs on BBC One.
