Trust Me was back tonight (August 22) with its penultimate episode, and it was the most nail-biting one yet ending on a massive cliffhanger.

Before we get to that though, Ally's (Jodie Whittaker) secret that she's not a real doctor is out after Andy revealed to her – in the most dramatic way – that he knew exactly who she was.

After a disagreement while out on a walk together, Ally walked away, but Andy stopped her in her tracks by shouting her real name.

Just like her, the whole world paused for a very long time to process the tension.

But he was willing to overlook this because he loves her. Er, how romantic.

Later, the hospital was full to the brim and the team were struggling to get beds, and so overlooked one particular patient with a dental issue as a serious case.

However, Ally and Brigitte realised they were going to be in a heap load of trouble after the patient died on their watch.

Brigitte asked her to change her report on the patient so they could back each other up, so she did – however, Ally then realised that Brigitte had actually been drinking.

Of course, Brigitte had been boozing the whole way through, which didn't go unnoticed by viewers.

We'll have to wait until next week's finale to see if Ally gets caught out.

Trust Me airs on BBC One.
