The truth behind Leeds United's training as six senior players doubtful for Coventry clash
Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke has leapt to the defence of the club's medical team, insisting he's "very happy" with how things are working. Leeds' training methods have not come under question so far this season, neither has the role of new head of medicine Henry McStay, who joined the club in the summer after former head Rob Price departed.
However, in the wake of another week of worrying injuries, Farke was asked abut changes to training at Thorp Arch. The Whites are preparing for a game against Coventry City on Saturday afternoon with a host of players already ruled out or doubtful.
Manor Solomon, Dan James and Max Wober are still ruled out for Leeds after missing the last few weeks, while Pascal Struijk is rated doubtful. That comes after Junior Firpo and Patrick Bamford both missed training this week. With as many as six senior first team players from a small squad potentially missing, Farke was asked if the club had changed their training regime or anything at the training ground this year.

"I am very happy with all our medical department. With all the others and due to the load with all the games, I am quite happy so far with the outcome. Hopefully it is just an exception that we have this week," said Farke, who discussed the injury issue in more detail.
"After each and every season you review what has happened and in terms of injuries, if they are for example muscular injuries which you can perhaps avoid, or are there many contact injuries, but even last season we were pretty happy with it.
"In terms of training load it was one of the highest, or the highest loads for years at this club but the lowest injury percentage. Overall we were pretty pleased with it.
Then in pre-season and at the beginning of the season we were really pleased and we had some pretty good games where no-one was injured. But for example, Max Wober was injured on international duty for his country and since that moment he has not been able to play a game for us. So sometimes you are unlucky with something you cannot control. Sometimes you have to accept that."
