Truth behind Strictly's Jamie Borthwick and pro Michelle's bond after he calls her 'my girl'
Strictly Come Dancing fans may be disappointed to learn that a romance between Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas will not happen after all, despite his recent cryptic comment.
Earlier this month, viewers expressed calls for the pair to get together after he called her "my girl" following their intimate Argentine Tango.
Commenting on romances that can form on the show, relationship expert Jesper Jensen, at ExpertsEnAmour, explained how professional relationships on the show could swiftly turn into a personal ones.

“The long hours of rehearsal, physical proximity and emotional intensity of performance can create a special bond,” he said.
“These elements can blur the lines between professional and personal relationships and make it easier for romantic feelings to develop."
He added to Reach PLC: "If there’s already a spark, the supportive and high energy of the show could intensify those feelings and create a romance.
"Many past Strictly Come Dancing couples are proof of how powerful these connections can be.”
Despite his analysis and viewers' calls for a romance, Michelle, 29, is very much off the market and has been for a number of years.
The Strictly professional is in a relationship with her fellow dancer and choreographer Simone Arena.
In mushy Instagram posts over the years, Michelle has referred to Simone as her "valentine" and has also pined for him during times of long distance.
Jamie, on the other hand, is believed to be single, although was spotted with a mystery blonde last month.
Previously discussing a potential romance with Michelle, he told The Mirror: "The idea of that whole Strictly curse, well it's definitely not going to be a thing here because it would be weird doing that with my sister.
"Michelle and I met before Strictly and we instantly had a connection. But she is like a sister, an aunt, a mum, a best friend. She's looking after me, she's mothering me."
Tonight, the couple will return to the dance floor for a Foxtrot to Stand By Me by Ben E. King.
Strictly Come Dancing airs at 7:05pm on BBC One.
