Prime Minister's 'improper motive' for suspending Parliament

Jodie Chesney murdered in 'pathetic drug turf war', court told

Details of the tragic killing of girl scout Jodie Chesney have emerged in court as four people go on trial for murder. She was a "blameless" bystander who got caught up in a "pathetic turf war" between drug dealers, it was said at the Old Bailey. The 17-year-old was stabbed in the back as she sat on a park bench near St Neot's Road in Romford, East London in March. And the court heard how doctors met paramedics on the way to hospital in a bid to save her life.

Festival row after endangered blue shark paraded through street

A food festival has been condemned for parading an endangered blue sharkthrough the street before cooking and eating it. A video of the event at Plymouth Seafood Festival was posted on the Visit Plymouth Instagram page, before being removed after public outcry. Blue sharks are listed as threatened globally although there are no restrictions on catching them in UK waters. Take a look at the bizarre picture of the shark being carried overhead through the street.
