The 5 best shows on TV tonight: Wednesday 31 March

The baffling This Is My House debuted last week to a somewhat mixed reception but luckily for those that loved the unusual concept it's back again tonight.

But for those who prefer a more straightforward series, dating show First Dates Hotel also makes a return.

Making a comeback for a third season is the social media influencer mockumentary Pls Like, making it to the small screen with a double bill this evening.

Elsewhere, Great British Menu gets into the Scotland heats.

Great British Menu - 8pm - BBC Two

The Scotland heats begin on Great British Menu with four new contestants, three of whom are Edinburgh restauranteurs who already know each other.

They tackle a stater and fish course as they vie for their place in the contest.

Running with the theme of British innovation, Scotland's medical discovery history is drawn upon by one competitor as they present their starter in a dish shaped like a giant petri dish in honour of Alexander Fleming.

Kirstie and Phil's Love It or List It - 8pm - Channel 4

Property presenting duo Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer look back at families who have chosen between a move or a renovation.

This time it's Graham and Nardeth in Windsor who feel their Windsor home might be a bit too cramped. Meanwhile Northamptonshire couple Louis and Isobel toy with the idea of spending £70,000 to reconfigure their ground floor.

This Is My House - 9pm - BBC One

The offbeat guessing game is back after last week's debut and this time it's four individuals claiming to be Michael, the owner of this week's house.

Rob Rinder joins the celebrity panel this week as they try to sort out fact from fiction. But complications arise when the panel are thrown by a familiar face.

Meanwhile, one of the Michaels struggles to remember anything about his own life.

First Dates Hotel - 9pm - Channel 4

Enjoying a holiday in the sun and a shot a love this week includes ex-military man Richard who - despite what some may think because of his muscly appearance - is a sensitive soul.

The third series of the satirical mockumentary gets underway this evening with a double bill.

Struggling documentarian Liam (Liam Williams) returns to online talent agent James Wirm (Tim Key) to discover the world of travel influencers and he sets about creating a social-media friendly holiday experience.
