Yahoo News TV host John Leslie cleared of sexual assault

Former Blue Peter and This Morning presenter John Leslie has been cleared of sexual assault.
An Edinburgh Sheriff Court found that there was insufficient evidence to convict the 53-year-old Scottish TV host of groping a woman at the Attik nightclub last June, reports BBC News.
Leslie was arrested last November, and subsequently entered a not guilty plea to accusations that he slid his hand down a woman's pants while dancing with her at her hen do.
During the two-day trial, John took the stand and faced direct questioning from the prosecution about his conduct while dancing on that June 2017 evening.
"I did not put my hands down her trousers," he insisted on the witness stand. "It's something I would never do. It's something I would never have done. I'm upset at the allegation."
His accuser also stood by her accounting of events during her own testimony during the trial, claiming that it had been "one of the toughest years" of her life.
Leslie has not publicly commented on the outcome of the trial on his Twitter account. At the time of his arrest, the presenter "totally denied" the allegations and insisted that he had "not done anything wrong".
