TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher charged for drink-driving
Police have confirmed that Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher has been charged for drink-driving.
The star, who took part on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015, was stopped by authorities as she drove to pick up her two children, who she has with ex-husband Paul Sampson.
Kirsty was detained in Eton, Berkshire at 11.30am on Saturday 12 August.
The 41 year old has been released on bail and is due to appear at Slough Magistrates’ Court on 4 September.
Thames Valley Police said in a statement: “Kirsty Gallacher, aged 41, was charged last night with one count of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level was above the legal limit.”
A source told The Sun that Kirsty had enjoyed a night out with friends and was on her way to pick up her children from her ex’s house on the Saturday morning.
Police pulled her over when she was spotted “driving erratically”.
On Friday night, Kirsty posted a photo of herself in a pub with friends to her Instagram account.
The star does not have a drink in hand in the photo but her companions are holding beverages such as champagne and beer.
Kirsty and Paul ended their 15-year relationship in 2014 and together they are parents to 11-year-old Oscar and seven-year-old Jude.
