We will never want to play poker with US TV reporter Shannon Murray.

As she was reporting about a protest at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas on FOX 4 News, she had to deal with something that would creep out even the most casual arachnophobe.

Yes, a spider – and a pretty big one at that – started to crawl down Shannon's arm, but she carried on like a true professional, giving the impression that she didn't give a f**k about the unexpected creepy-crawly. Pretty fearless.

It turns out she was fully aware something was on her, just not exactly what it was.

"For those asking, YES I felt it! But I had no idea it was a spider until a VIEWER let me know on Facebook! EEK," Shannon wrote on a video of the spider moment.

At least the spider video has led to a surge in popularity on her official Facebook page, so maybe it was all worth it in the end.

Viewers would have been altogether less calm about the situation if their reactions on the web are anything to go by.

"Had it been me, there would be a news segment of me running and getting hit by one of the vehicles driving by," joked one commenter, with another adding: "Watching this made me wipe at my shoulder."

And now we're doing exactly the same. THANKS A LOT.
