Sendhil Ramamurthy has nabbed a royal role.
The Never Have I Ever and Heroes vet has joined Netflix’s One Piece for Season 2 as Nefertari Cobra, our sister site Variety reports. In the Japanese manga, the character was the 12th king of the Arabasta Kingdom and the patriarch of the Nefertari family.

As previously announced, Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy) is set to portray Dr. Kureha, an eccentric medical professional who crosses paths with Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates during their quest for the titular treasure. In other medicinal casting news, Mark Harelik (Presumed Innocent) has boarded Season 2 as Dr. Hiriluk.

* The Drew Barrymore Show has been renewed for Season 6, which will take the daytime talker through the 2025-26 season.
* The Bosch: Legacy spinoff starring Maggie Q as Detective Renée Ballard has added Ricardo Chavira (Desperate Housewives), Noah Bean (Nikita), Alain Uy (Power Book IV: Force) and Hector Hugo (Snowfall) to its cast, our sister site Deadline reports.
* Netflix has given a series order to the animated comedy Long Story Short, from BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg. The show is “about a family, over time,” per the official description. “It’s about the shared history, the inside jokes, the old wounds. If you’ve ever had a mother, father, sibling, partner, or child, this is the show for you and by the way would it kill you to call them?”
* FX’s limited series Say Nothing, based on Patrick Radden Keefe’s book of the same name, will premiere Thursday, Nov. 14, exclusively on Hulu with all nine episodes. It is described as “a gripping story of murder and memory in Northern Ireland during The Troubles.”
* Prolific producer Greg Berlanti will receive the 2024 Governors Award during the 76th Emmy Awards, airing Sunday, Sept. 15 on ABC.
