It might soon be the end of the road for The Walking Dead's Carl Grimes, but it's only the beginning for the actor who plays him, Chandler Riggs.

Because ahead of his highly-controversial exit from the series, Chandler has been laying down the foundations for a potential music career. Well, why the hell not?

Riggs – aka eclipse – is now also making a name for himself over on Soundcloud, where you can listen to not one but two of his electronica tracks.

And y'know what? They're pretty good.

Although this isn't the first we've heard of Chandler's musical ambitions, a recent chat with Entertainment Weekly gave us a pretty big hint that his next career move will be a curveball.

Talking about his final day filming on set, Chandler admitted that it was "really emotional" to say goodbye to the cast and crew he'd worked alongside for eight years.

Calling the atmosphere "bittersweet", he explained: "It was a weird kind of goodbye in that I now get to do all these other things and have so many more opportunities.

"But it was also kind of bitter because I have worked with these people for so long."

Despite his bittersweet goodbye, Riggs recently revealed that he enjoyed playing Carl's final moments because he knew his character would have "such a lasting impact on the story" as the show moves forward.

"He's definitely leaving behind a really long-lasting legacy. [That] was the coolest part about playing those final moments", he said.

The Walking Dead will return on Sunday, February 25 in the US on AMC and on Monday, February 26 on FOX UK.
