Twenty-one suspected illegal immigrants found aboard cargo ship in Norfolk
Border force officers have detained 21 suspected illegal immigrants who were found on board a container ship that was sailing to the UK from Spain.
The vessel, carrying wind turbine parts, was held off the Norfolk coast before its arrival at Great Yarmouth Port on Wednesday.
Officers identified 21 stowaways on board who all presented as Albanian nationals.
The 19 men and two minors will be “dealt with in line with immigration rules”, according to a Home Office spokesperson.
A spokesman for Peel Ports, which operates the port, said: "We can confirm that stowaways have been identified on board the Rotra Mare heading for the Port of Great Yarmouth.”

Border Force was alerted to the vessel in the early hours of Tuesday while it was anchored five miles from the port.
Officers met the ship when it berthed at the port on Wednesday afternoon.
They worked together with Norfolk Police, the Coastguard, the Great Yarmouth Port Harbour Master and the vessel's agent to deal with the discovery.”
