Twickenham deaths: Police reveal names of mother stabbed 'repeatedly' and family members who died at cliffs

Police have revealed the names of the four members of the same family who died in a suspected murder-suicide earlier this month.

The mother, Laura Navarrete De Figueira, 47, was found dead at her home in Twickenham, having suffered multiple stab wounds.

Father Adelino Figueia de Faria, 57, and his sons, Claudio and Joaquin, were discovered by police at Birling Gap and seafront in East Sussex.

The cause of death for Laura Figueira was given as multiple stab wounds at Kingston Mortuary on Monday, March 12.

At the same mortuary, on Tuesday 15 March, an examination of Adelino Figueira showed that he died from multiple injuries consistent with falling from height.

The same cause of death was given for Claudio and Joaquin, at St Thomas' Hospital on Thursday, March 15.

The family's neighbours in Twickenham described them as "pleasant".

One resident, Paul Warrington, 54, told the Sun: “There was nothing untoward that would suggest anything like this would happen. They had lived there for about a year.

"They were very normal. You’d never imagine something like this would happen.”

Neighbours also described the large emergency services presence on the Twickenham street as police continued to investigate the deaths.

One resident, who asked not to be named, said: “There were lots of police, people in uniform, outside the house as I came home from work yesterday at about 7pm. They were still there this morning.

“We don’t know much, haven’t heard anything about it, but it’s not good hearing something like this has happened – especially so close to home.”

Officers from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command are leading the investigation, supported by colleagues in Sussex Police.

Police said the family's next of kin had been informed and that enquiries are ongoing.
