Twickenham man arrested after three women attacked in three days

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attacking three women in Twickenham. Richmond Police say three women were targeted in a string of incidents between Monday, November 4 and Wednesday, November 6.

The alleged offender was taken into custody in Wednesday where he remains. The Met Police have launched an investigation into the attacks but is not looking for any other suspects.

A force spokesperson said: "A male was arrested on November 6 and is currently in custody whilst all Twickenham offences are being investigated by officers from South West BCU Criminal Investigation Department.

"We fully appreciate the concern within the community that will likely emerge as a result of these offences, but hope that the arrest of the suspect will provide reassurance. Officers are currently not seeking the arrest of any other individuals at this time other than the subject in custody. We encourage anyone who has been a victim of similar offences to call 101 quoting ref 01/1052877/24."
