Twins reunited after 130 days apart due to Covid

Identical twins Alex and Sebastian were born at just 27 weeks in the middle of the first lockdown. Due to coronavirus restrictions, they ended up spending more than 130 days apart when one had to stay in hospital and the other was sent home. Alex initially needed the help of a ventilator and Seb needed urgent treatment for a heart condition and brain haemorrhage. Only one parent at a time was allowed to visit Sebastian in hospital, whilst Alex had to stay at home. Five months on and nine operations later, the boys are back together and their parents, Liz and Ben Hession, are delighted. .
