Labour and Co-op candidate Stella Creasy has been praised online after the politician appeared live on Sky News cradling her two-week-old baby in a sling.

Ms Creasy, 42, who has just secured her Walthamstow seat by a landslide, was speaking to news anchor Dermot Murnaghan, as she discussed the results of the 2019 election as they unfolded.

Stella and her partner Dan Fox welcomed their baby a fortnight ago, after announcing she was pregnant in June this year.

Since her live interview during the election coverage, Twitter users have shared messages of support for the MP.

Another added: "Stella Creasy is a queen. Two week old baby and still a rock solid legend."

A third commented: "Watching Stella Creasy being interviewed wearing her two-week old daughter. What a mother."

"Stella Creasy's baby is the most wholesome thing I'm going to see this evening."
