New Look is set to invest into 17 small stores around the UK throughout November with refurbishments to update and improve the customer experience in store.

Two Aberdeenshire sites are included in the plans, with stores in Inverurie and Peterhead set to be given a facelift in the coming weeks.

Both are the only branches in Scotland planned for refurbishments, with shops across England also listed for imminent works.

To celebrate the refurbishments, New Look has been hosting activations in store across the sites planned for refurbs, with the high street chain gearing up for another busy Christmas trading period.

Jonathan Wynne, Business Development Manager at New Look: "Following the successful implementation of an Omnichannel trial within the Manchester region earlier this year, we are now phasing the rollout of a number of key initiatives, starting with the investment in a further 17 stores ahead of the busy Christmas trading period.

"The investment will include store refurbishments as well as improved product ranging and omnichannel services, with a focus on our smaller markets which provides a crucial role in connecting our customers, teams, product and services at a local level."

Key work that is set to be carried out in store includes:

  • Shop front redecoration

  • Window elevation including new POS schemes and Footwear focus

  • Internal wall treatments across key depts

  • Illuminated department lighting and full relighting throughout the store

  • Ceilings and walls converted from grey to white to improve in store environments

  • Refurbishment of all Footwear departments

  • Fitting room redecoration

New Look says the store expansions will offer more customers the opportunity to discover the quality products in omnichannel stores, as well as offering online click + collect.
