There's no doubt that The Big Bang Theory is one of CBS's biggest shows, so it makes sense that the cast get paid A LOT of money for their efforts.

Still, out of the core cast, there are two who are lagging considerably behind the rest of them, according to Variety.

Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are all paid a whopping $900,000 per episode.

In contrast, Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Wolowitz) – who both who came into the show a little later – are paid $500,00 per episode.

Now, we're not saying we'd turn it down or anything, but it's quite a difference from what the original gang are getting.

Having said that, this is reportedly a jump from the $200,000 per episode that Bialik and Rauch were getting previously, with the main five said to have each accepted a drop from £1 million per episode to enable those raises.

The last time the cast had to renegotiate contracts (in 2014), Helberg and Nayyar both held out in order to secure a seven-figure parity with Galecki, Parsons and Cuoco.

Elsewhere, Cuoco, who plays Penny on the long-running sitcom, recently posted a snap to Instagram of herself with co-stars Jim Parsons (Sheldon), Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Kunal Nayyar (Rajesh) and Simon Helberg (Howard) on set with their scripts for the first episode of season 11.

Exciting!

And as well as that new season, The Big Bang Theory will be premiering the prequel Young Sheldon later this year, which will explore the fan favourite character's childhood.

The Big Bang Theory season 11 and Young Sheldon will air back-to-back on Thursdays at 8pm ET and 8.30pm ET beginning on November 2 on CBS.
