Excluded Pupil Questioned Over School Stabbing

An excluded pupil has been arrested after two 15-year-old boys were stabbed at a school in southeast London.

Police were called to the Kingsdale Foundation School in Alleyn Park, Dulwich, around 3.30pm to reports of a stabbing.

Both victims were taken to hospital, where one remains in a critical condition. The other suffered less severe injuries and has been released.

The arrested teenager has been taken to a south London police station.

Head teacher Steve Morrison said: "We've been informed that a 16-year-old is assisting the police with their enquiries.

"At this stage I understand they are satisfied they have the suspect they wish to talk to."

The boys were stabbed in an area inside the school called The Pod, which was taped off and school desks were used to secure the area, according Sky sources.

Most of the pupils were in the final classes of the day when the stabbing happened.

Some students at the school were seen crying as police carried out their investigation.

Southwark Council said the school would be open on Friday.

"We are assisting with the police investigation in any way that we can," a spokeswoman said.
