Two in hospital as crash shuts North Staffordshire road
Two men have been left in hospital after a smash shut a key North Staffordshire road. Two ambulances were among the emergency services sent out to Eccleshall yesterday evening to reports of a crash.
StokeonTrentLive reported how the collision shut Stafford Road between Pyebirch Lane and Chebsey Lane for a number of hours. Today West Midlands Ambulance Service say the crash left two men in hospital with a third patient, a woman, discharged at the scene.
Emergency services had been sent to the stretch just before 5.40pm.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Stafford Road. We sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene, where on arrival, crews found three patients. Two of whom, both men, were treated for injuries not thought to be serious and conveyed to Stafford County Hospital. A woman was assessed and discharged at the scene."
