Two in hospital as emergency services called to North Staffordshire smash
Two people were taken to hospital following a crash on a busy North Staffordshire road. Emergency services were called out to Tean Road, in Cheadle, where they found two cars had been in collision.
Today West Midlands Ambulance Service says a man and a woman were taken to Stafford County Hospital. Locals say Saturday's crash, which occurred at around 2.40pm, left the route blocked near its junction with Wedgwood Drive.
Along with paramedics, police and firefighters were also spotted at the scene.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: "We were called to reports of a two-car road traffic collision on Tean Road. One ambulance crew attended and assessed three occupants. Two patients, a man and a woman, were conveyed to Stafford County hospital as a precaution. The third occupant was uninjured."
