Ten in hospital following suspected chemical leak at Scots primary school
Ten people have been taken to hospital following a suspected chemical leak at a Perthshire primary school.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at Crieff Primary School in Broich Road shortly after 11am on Thursday. Perth and Kinross Council said the school had been evacuated after a member of staff became unwell. A number of other employees also reported feeling unwell.
No evidence of spillages or leaks that may have contributed to illness at this time have been found, however the school will remain closed until Monday, September 9 to allow a deep clean to be carried out as an additional precautionary measure.

Testing will continue to identify the cause of symptoms experienced by some adults in school.
The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed four ambulances and three special operation response teams were dispatched and ten people were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue service were also in attendance.
Sheena Devlin, Perth and Kinross Council's Strategic Lead for Children and Families, said: "The wellbeing of our children and our staff is our priority and so we have decided to keep the school closed on Friday as a precautionary measure.
"We understand the concern this incident will have caused but would like to reassure parents, carers and pupils that we are working closely with our partners in NHS Tayside and Scottish Fire and Rescue to understand why some staff felt unwell."
"Any members of staff or pupils feeling unwell should seek medical advice as they would usually do or contact NHS 24 on 111."
An NHS Tayside spokeswoman said: "Ten adults attended the Emergency Department at Ninewells Hospital as a precaution. All have undergone clinical assessment and no one has any immediate medical concerns.
"The majority of patients have already been discharged after being seen."
A SAS spokesperson said: "We received a call at 11.06am to attend an incident on Broich Road, Crieff. We dispatched multiple resources to the scene including four ambulances and three special operation response teams."
They confirmed the incident was ongoing and that they remained at the scene.
A police cordon has been set up at the school while inquiries are carried out.
