Two injured after seven-vehicle pileup on A46 near Coventry

Two people were left injured after a multi-vehicle crash on the A46 near Coventry. It happened yesterday morning (January 15).

Paramedics were called to reports of a seven-vehicle crash on the A46 at around 7.45am. Police were also sent to the scene and blocked off the carriageway between Stoneleigh and Leamington Spa.

Medics found five people requiring assessment at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said. A man and woman, who have not been identified, were found to have sustained minor injuries.

Both were quickly taken to Warwick Hospital. Three others were assessed and discharged at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

In a statement issued today (January 16), West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the A46 between the Stoneleigh and Leamington exits at 7.46am yesterday (January 15). Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended.

“Crews discovered five patients. A man and a woman were treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Warwick Hospital. Three further patients were assessed and discharged at the scene.”
