Two killed after car crashes into pedestrians in Norwich

The crash happened on the A1074 Dereham Road, near Norfolk Showground

Two men have died and a woman was left with life-changing injuries after a car crashed into pedestrians in Norwich.

A man in his 30s, who was the driver of the Subaru Legacy involved in the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene along with a male pedestrian in his 40s.

A woman in her 50s, who was also a pedestrian, was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with life-changing injuries. She is in a serious condition.

The collision happened around 5pm on Friday on the A1074 Dereham Road, near Norfolk Showground.

The road was closed while emergency services, including the East Anglian Air Ambulance, dealt with the incident. It reopened at 1.20am on Saturday morning.

Norfolk Police is urging any witnesses to the incident to contact them.

Officers are also keen to speak to anybody who was in the area at the time and could have dashcam footage.
