Suspected stolen scrambler bikes, quad bikes and cars were found following a raid at industrial units. Officers carried out a search on Wednesday, August 21 on Shannons Lane in Prescot.

Inside the industrial units, police found 34 suspected stolen Surron bikes, scramblers and quad bikes on the premises. A Ford van and a Fiesta car, which are also suspected to be stolen, were also located on the site.

The next day, Thursday, August 22, officers arrested two men aged 25 and 27-years-old from Croxteth on suspicion of handling stolen goods. They have been released under investigation with enquiries ongoing, police said.

Knowsley Policing Inspector Andy Robinson said: "These two arrests were part of our proactive work to ensure we take offenders off our streets. We are relentless in pursuing those involved in criminality across Knowsley.

“Our work to bring these people to justice will continue on a daily basis and I would ask anyone who has information about this kind of activity to come forward so action can be taken.” If you know about the use and storage of electric bikes being used where you live, then DM @MerPolCC, message ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre on Facebook’ or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
