Two men killed in A5 horror crash involving van and car
Two men have died in a crash on the A5. Emergency services were called to a collision involving a van and a car near the Mile End roundabout in Oswestry on Sunday evening.
West Mercia Police said a blue Peugeot estate was being driven westbound towards Oswestry and a grey Renault box van had been travelling in the opposite direction before they both collided. The driver of the van, a 33-year-old man, and the driver of the car involved, an 81-year-old man, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman and child, who were passengers in the van, sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. Police are now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
