Two Men Smash Through Maryland Gun Store, Steal Dozens of Firearms

Local and federal authorities are seeking two men who burglarized a Maryland gun store on Thursday, March 9. Handguns and “long guns” were stolen from the United Gun Shop in Rockville, according to a county police press release.

The Montgomery County police and ATF released surveillance footage of the theft, showing two men breaking into the store as an alarm sounds, smashing the cases and removing the guns inside the cases. They also removed guns from the wall. The theft takes less than 90 seconds.

Authorities said approximately 24 handguns and seven long guns were taken from the store, and investigators are working with the store owner to determine the precise number of guns stolen.

The Montgomery County Police Department, the ATF and the National Shooting Sports Foundation are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of conviction of those who stole the guns.
