Two people have been arrested in connection with a report of a robbery in Glasgow. Around 6.45am on Wednesday, 5 June, 2024, officers were called to Arrochar Street, in the city where a man was robbed and seriously injured.

Emergency services attended and he was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, for treatment. A 44-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.

There is an increased police presence in the area and anyone with any information or concerns can approach these officers. The arrests come as residents claimed the street had been 'cordoned off since this morning' and 'local people couldn't get out of their homes'.

Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
