Two people charged after girl, 10, attacked by dog on Glasgow street
Two people have been charged after a dog attacked a 10-year-old schoolgirl in Glasgow's east end.
Emergency services were called to Maukinfauld Road in Parkhead at around 3pm on Wednesday, October 30, following reports of the incident. The girl was rushed from the scene to hospital for treatment.
Police reassured the public there is no wider risk following the incident. In an updated statement the force has confirmed the dog was euthanised following the attack.

A 52-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman have been charged in connection.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3pm on Wednesday, October 30, we received a report of a dog having attacked a ten-year-old girl on Maukinfauld Road, Glasgow. She was taken to hospital and released after treatment.
“A 52-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman have been charged in connection with this incident. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. The dog was euthanised following this incident.”
