Two people rushed to hospital after crash closes road in Wincanton

Two people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash in Wincanton. Avon and Somerset Police was called to Southgate Road at around 10.45am this morning, Monday, November 18.

The crash involved two vehicles and resulted in the road being closed in both directions. Police said two people were taken to hospital but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road closure was put in place between the Lidl supermarket and Moor Lane. Motorists have been warned of traffic delays in the area.

Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at around 10.45am today (Monday 18 November) to Southgate Road, in Wincanton, following a report of a two-vehicle collision. Two people have been taken to hospital, their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening."
