Two people taken to hospital after A69 crash at Corbridge

Paramedics took two people to A&E following a crash on the A69 at Corbridge on Thursday morning.

The incident took place shortly before 8.50am and the ambulance service and police both attended the scene. Two ambulance crews and one specialist paramedic provided care before transporting the two patients to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision this morning (28 November) at 8:49am on A69 near Corbridge. We dispatched two ambulance crews and one specialist paramedic. Two patients were taken to RVI hospital."

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 8.50am, we were alerted by the ambulance service to a collision on the A69 eastbound near Corbridge." Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
