Two players to miss Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest as three face late fitness test
Liverpool are back in action when they host Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The Reds have made a perfect start to the season, having won each of their first three matches.
The Reds started the season with a 2-0 win over newly-promoted Ipswich. They followed that up with a 2-0 success against Brentford before a comprehensive 3-0 victory at Manchester United. It means Liverpool sit second in the Premier League behind Manchester City, having not conceded a single goal to date.
Next up for Liverpool is a game against fellow unbeaten outfit Forest, who have picked up five points from their opening three fixtures at Anfield. Nuno Espirito Santo's side were held to a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth in their first game before securing their maiden win at Southampton. This was followed by a draw at home to Wolves.

Both are set to be without some players for the game. So, with this in mind, Liverpool Echo have taken a look at those that will or could miss the fixture...
Harvey Elliott
Liverpool will be without Harvey Elliott for several weeks due to a fractured foot. Slot said: "Harvey’s injury is, of course, not a just big disappointment for him but also for us.
"He didn’t play a lot in the first three games, but he showed himself really well in pre-season. He would have had a lot of playing time in the upcoming fixtures but that goes to someone else."
Alexis Mac Allister
Slot is expecting Mac Allister to feature for Liverpool against Forest. “He was out in the last game [Mac Allister came off the bench for Argentina on Tuesday night], but he trained with us yesterday. I’m expecting Macca to be with us tomorrow," the Dutchman said.
Danilo
Forest midfielder Danilo is unavailable after breaking his ankle during the opening weekend fixture against Bournemouth. Espirito Santo said: "We miss him. It was terrible. It was a big loss for us, in terms of not having him. Now it is about wishing him the best.
"The last reports we had said it is a serious injury. But we are confident he is going to come back strong and ready to play. We miss him very much. Everyone loves him. It is always very sad when you lose a player, no matter who it is. They are always so careful about their health, trying to get all the details right ready to compete.
"When you lose one, it is very sad - especially when you realise he is going to be away for some time. But that is football and as a squad we have to be ready for it."
Ibrahim Sangare
The Ivorian is a doubt for the fixture after picking up an injury during the international break. Sangare has impressed for Forest this season and would be a huge miss if he isn't available.
Wily Boly
Similarly to Sangare, Boly is a doubt for the game having suffered a calf injury while playing for Ivory Coast. Espirito Santo admitted both players will be assessed ahead of the trip to Anfield.
Chris Wood
Forest will make a late check on striker Chris Wood to make sure he is not fatigued after covering a lot of miles in the past fortnight. The frontman has been representing New Zealand in the United States.
