Two rescued from car stranded in floods during Storm Bert
Two people were rescued from a car stuck in flood water during Storm Bert.
At 3.29pm today (November 25), one fire engine from Burnley, along with the Hagglund from Rawtenstall attended an incident. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service say this was on Market Street in Bacup where people had got into trouble following heavy flooding.
Firefighters used the Hagglund to rescue two people who were in the car that had been stranded from flood water.

The Met Office issued weather warnings over the weekend, as Storm Bert wreaked havoc across the county. Flooding, heavy rain and strong winds could be felt, with much disruption caused too.
Yesterday (November 24), LancsLive reported an elderly man died after his car entered a body of water in Colne during the storm. Over in Rossendale, a charity worker has been left "truly devastated" after flooding ruined his shop only four days after opening.
